Trauma can have a profound and lasting impact on your feelings about yourself, your relationships, and the world around you.

Symptoms include intrusive thoughts, avoidance, negative thinking, and uncontrollable behaviors that get in the way of you living your best life. I can help you process the impact trauma has on your life and help you manage its lasting effects.

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and use it with clients to reprocess memories that affect their reactions to present day situations, people, and triggers. EMDR uses eye movements to reprocess these memories and install more helpful thoughts and beliefs. EMDR has been demonstrated to be effective in treating PTSD, depression, anxiety, and somatic complaints, among many others. It is highly efficient and many people notice changes in as few as three sessions.

I am nationally certified in Trauma-Focused Behavioral Therapy for youth ages 12 and up. Adults with a history of trauma will benefit from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and interpersonal therapy. I am constantly building my skills in trauma treatment and staying up to date on the most current research.
